Empty Bowls
Presented by:
Empty Bowls, to be held March 5 and 6, is River City Food Bank’s biggest fundraiser, and this year it’s going to be more fun and bigger and better than ever. The event has experienced so much growth in the past few years that this year’s event will be held at the Sacramento Convention Center. We are excited about having the opportunity to move our event to this new location! Moving to the Convention Center will allow us to better serve those attending Empty Bowls. We have an entire room set aside for bowl selection so you will have more options than ever when selecting your bowl. The new layout will also allow you to go straight to a soup station instead of having to wait in one long line. Don’t forget that parking is right across the street for those who will be driving to the event as well.
We are still in need of volunteers for this event. If you are interested in helping, please contact us at email@rivercityfoodbank.org, and our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you. We hope that you are as excited about our new location as we are. It will be the same wonderful Empty Bowls event, but in a new location. Empty Bowls provides more than ten percent of our entire operating budget for the year. Because of the increasing need for our services, the success of Empty Bowls is now more important than ever! Join us!
Our goal is to raise $125,000 to provide emergency 3-day food supplies to the increasing numbers of families and seniors who need help getting by.
