Food Stamp Outreach

River City Food Bank has partnered with the Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance to help needy families and individuals with the food stamp application. River City Food Bank is the only community organization in Sacramento County providing food stamp outreach. In efforts to target needy populations throughout the county, RCFB has partnered with various community organizations.

The Food Stamp Program helps stretch a tight budget and maintains families and individuals well-fed and healthy. In addition the Food Stamp Program supports local food retailers and generates $9.20 in economic activity from every $5 spent in food stamp benefits.
